Safety
The Northern California Mechanical Contractors Association
(MCA) is committed to improving the safety results for our member companies
and reducing
injuries for our member ’s
employees. The association created a Safety Committee to partner
with all of the Bay Area Plumbing and Piping Local Unions to ensure
that the membership and its work force are well trained
and informed in all areas associated
with safety.

techniques, present experts on safety topics, plan training sessions,
and discuss
accidents or exposures that the companies have experienced.
The Safety Committee provides subsidized/no cost training sessions for

information and assistance to the group and the individual employers.
In addition, Northern California MCA is a founding member and active
participant in the California Legislative Council. This statewide labor
management
group advocates for effective safety regulations with the state government
and provides information and testimony to the legislature and regulatory
bodies. The group also provides members with individual representation
with the state.
