Northern California MCA Kent
Morrill Scholarship
The Scholarship program was started in 1992 and named after Kent Morrill of the E.H. Morrill Company. Morrill served on the association’s board in the mid 80’s and was President in 1988. Kent died tragically in 1991 and the scholarship program was named in his honor.
Since 1992, Northern California MCA has awarded over $700,000.00 in scholarships to 200 different students.
This year Northern California MCA awarded 47 scholarships totaling $95,000.00. Of the scholarship winners there were 30 that had won before and 17 first time applicants. Of the 30 prior winners, 4 students have received scholarships for all four years
Scholarship Awards for the 2006-2007 school year were given to students studying the following: Pharmacy, Business, Math, English, Biology, Geography, Neurology, Communications, Physical Therapy, Energy Management, Liberal Studies, Language, Child Development, Natural Resources, Civil Engineer, Photo, Kinesiology, Political Science, Wellness, Music, Psychology, History, Economics, Nursing, Sociology, Agriculture, Teaching, Mechanical Engineering, and Construction Management.
